Entrepreneurship is a difficult endeavor, fraught with many obstacles, and practiced with often repeated mistakes. The purpose of Fledge is to help guide entrepreneurs past the obstacles, to help them avoid the most common mistakes, and to support these entrepreneurs in their efforts.
The core thesis behind this purpose is that given all that help, plus a small amount of seed funding, the chances of success for the “fledgling” companies will be greatly increased.
If this thesis is true, then a side effect is an opportunity to run Fledge as a for-profit business, converting this increased success into value for the Fledge investors.
